The associations’ aim
The association Kyuentai sets its target on regional based long-term care to support children, especially the care of those children who have lost their parents due to the catastrophe in March 2011.
Although it is very necessary, the aim of Kyuentai is not direct and immediate aid e.g. with blankets or drinking water. These measures are already carried out by well-known organizations. The help of Kyuentai should benefit long-term care. Most of the children who were affected will probably suffer even years after the consequences of the disaster, both financially and psychologically.
Initially, focus will be set on the Iwate Prefecture, to which we maintain close contacts. The coastline of the prefecture was hit very hard and the destruction caused by the tsunami is enormous.
The donations won’t be used until we have consulted personally selected local organizations to guaranty a thoughtful distribution. The raised money will be used solely to help the children who will depend on long-term attention and care.
